For those clued up on Afrikan hip-hop, the name Modenine conjures up visions of a seminal emcee; his videos have received heavy rotation on the African-wide television network Channel 0, while his mixtapes and albums (Pentium IX, Da Vinci Mode, Mode over Premo) have made sure that people keep listening. He is not short on top-notch collaborations either, having - in the past - teamed up with Nigerian crooner 2Face Idibia as well as [perhaps] like-minded, equally lyrically-able South Afrikan emcee Proverb.

Modenine's proficient lyricism always comes in handy; one only needs to listen to songs such as 'Manifest', 'Poker face game face', and 'Lose you' (whose video is attached to the free download), for assurance that his is no below-par, 'maybe-you'll-feel-it, maybe-you-won't' style of emceeing. He crafts words that are sure to resonate - palpably so - on the same wavelength that the greatest human pleasures exist.
