Producer-rapper collaborations are a staple upon which hip-hop has been built since the early years of the Juice Crew, right through to Pete Rock&CL Smooth, and Gangstaar.

Producer San the Instru-monumentalist and rapper Kat-law carry the flag with a flair and passion that is rare in modern-day hip-hop, delivering an enchanting brand of grimey, modern-day boom-bap version of the arform.

'Remembering' has a cohesiveness that is lacking on many releases nowadays. San provides the perfect sonic artistry, allowing Kat-law to wax lyrical on an array of topics, from the mundane right through to the celestial - a feat which can only be achieved by two
kindred spirits sparring with their various implements (San on the boards, Kat-law in the booth), and birthing the rap equivalent of a treasure-chest in the process.

San (real name Moeti Damane) is a Lesotho born-and-bred sonic assailant more comfortable nowadays crafting beats than rapping on them. Rapping, as it turns out, is how he got introduced to the artform that is hip-hop. He is one half of the group Inspiration (the
other half being fellow producer Alias), and also a partner in Audible Braile Entertainment.
